Moreland Students Place in Cross Country Competition

Students from Easterbrook Discovery, Latimer and Moreland Middle placed in the top 10 rankings at the West Valley Athletic League Cross Country meets. Students competed against almost 100 others in both private and public middle schools in West San Jose, Campbell and Los Gatos.

Moreland MS Students Chosen for Campbell Youth Commission

Two Moreland Middle School students were selected to serve as the two Middle School representatives for the City of Campbell Youth Commission. Chosen from among 25 applicants, Youth Commissioners will act in an advisory capacity to the Campbell City Council on matter relating to youth and teens.

Results of Smarter Balances Assessment Test Released

In the 2nd year of results for the new California state assessment system, the increased scores continue to demonstrate how Moreland students are succeeding with the new, more rigorous, college and career-ready California standards.

Payne Student Wins Regional Future Chefs Competition

Third grade Payne student Elle, Seguin, local winner of Sodexo’s Future CHef Competition, has been recognized as a regional winner and advanced to the National competition. As one of four finalists from California, Elle created a winning recipe, Elle’s Groovy Waffle Browns, as part of he Healthy Breakfast Challenge.

Moreland Students Advance to National Math Competition

Five Country Lane students and seven Moreland Middle School students were chosen out of 44,000 applicants from across the country to participate in MathCON, a prestigious academic competition hosted by Concept Schools in Chicago.

Two Moreland Teams Advance to Global Competition

One Latimer and One Baker Destination Imagination (DI) team will advance to the 2016 Global Finals in Tennesse. Having competed against 230 other teams from throughout California at the State DI tournament, a middle school team from Latimer and an elementary team from Baker are two of 58 teams advancing.
