Middle School Athletes Compete in County Championships

San Jose, May 29, 2018:  Moreland School District announced that students from Easterbrook Discovery School, Latimer School, and Moreland Middle School qualified and competed at the Santa Clara County Championship Monday, May 21, 2018, at Los Gatos High School.  Students had to place in the top three at the Santa Clara County Trials in order to advance to the Championships.

Several Moreland students placed high in their competition, including Moreland Middle students taking 1st place as County Champions in the 6th grade boys hurdles, and boys 1600 meter race, 2nd and 3rd place in the boys 800 meter race;an Easterbrook Discovery Middle student taking 2nd place in the 8th grade girls discus; and Latimer students taking 4th place in the 6th grade boys long jump and 7th grade girls triple jump.   

Out of 34 schools represented in the County, and 17 schools in Moreland’s Central Coast Division,  Moreland School District is thrilled to announce the following top ten results:
