Two Moreland Special Education Teachers Honored at Regional Awards Luncheon

San Jose, June 2, 2017:  Moreland School District announced that Bill Pierce, Special Education Teacher at Easterbrook Discovery School (EDS) and Bob Burgner, Resource Specialist at Moreland Middle School (MMS) were honored at the SELPA III Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Teacher Awards Luncheon on May 25, 2017.  Nominated by Director of Educational Services, Theresa Molinelli, teachers were selected based on their commitment to children with disabilities.

Bob Burgner has been with Moreland for 12 years.  As a Resource Specialist at MMS, Bob quickly became recognized as an advocate for students and their families.  Theresa shared that Bob is a team player with his colleagues and always goes above and beyond to support students.

Bill Pierce has been with Moreland since 1997 and has developed strong relationships with current and past students and families, so much that many come back to visit and share about the impact he has had on their lives.  Both Bob and Bill are retiring from their careers in education this school year.
