The California Junior Scholarship Federation named Moreland Middle School 8th grader Kate P. a recipient of the 2024-2025 Marian Huhn Memorial Award for the Central Coast Region. 

Kate served as a WEB leader to welcome new students. She was nominated for her leadership and service both on campus and in the community by her teacher, Mrs. Jill Davis, who is the moderator of the CJSF club.
