Anderson Receives Grant to Serve Fruits & Vegetables as Snack for Students

Anderson Elementary School has been awarded the California Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant, which provides funding to offer Anderson students a free fresh fruit or vegetable snack during morning recess. Beginning this week, FFVP provided an additional free fresh fruit or vegetable snack to students during the school day to teach students about good nutrition.

Local Boy Scouts Donate Service to Country Lane

Country Lane Elementary School was the recipient of new shaded benches, thanks to the volunteer service of local Boy Scouts, led by Life Scout Jeffrey Zang of Troop 330 in Campbell. Built around existing solar panel structures, six benches were built and installed for the students to use during their recess and lunch time.

Moreland MS Student Chosen for Campbell Youth Commission

Eighth grade Moreland Middle School student, Sarah Coleman, was selected to serve as the only Middle School representative for the City of Campbell Youth Commission. Chosen from among 31 applicants, Sarah is in her second year as a Youth Commissioner and will act in an advisory capacity to Campbell City Council on matters relating to youth and teens.

Easterbrook Discovery School Continues to Set Fundraising Record for Pennies for Patients (R) Program

Easterbrook Discovery School (EDS) has recently been ranked as the highest individual fundraising school for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s ® Pennies for Patients ® campaign in the Silicon Valley and Monterey Bay Area. With over 300 schools participating in this region, Easterbrook Discovery School raised $15,676.92, a gain of more than $3,500 from their Number One spot last school year.

Two Moreland Special Education Teachers Honored at Regional Awards Luncheon

Bill Pierce, Special Education Teacher at Easterbrook Discovery School (EDS) and Bob Burgner, Resource Specialist at Moreland Middle School (MMS) were honored at the SELPA III Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Teacher Awards Luncheon on May 25, 2017. Nominated by Director of Educational Services, Theresa Molinelli, teachers were selected based on their commitment to children with disabilities.
