Developer Fees

Moreland School District collects development fees on new residential and commercial construction within the boundaries of the school district. These fees provide funds for the construction and reconstruction of school facilities and cannot be used for other purposes.

The current developer fees are:

Residential

Single Family Detached: $3.35 per square foot
Multi Family Attached: $3.35 per square foot

Commercial

Industrial: $0.546 per square foot
Hotel: $0.345 per square foot

The Moreland School District adopted Resolution No.15-2021/2022 on May 24, 2022, imposing fees pursuant to AB 2926.

Paying Developer Fees

Bring your School Fees Form along with payment to the Moreland School District office. The form will be issued from your city of residence when your development project is approved.

The District Office is located at 4711 Campbell Avenue, San José, CA 95130. Developer Fee processing hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Moreland accepts checks, cash, money order or cashiers check for developer fees. We are unable to process credit card transactions.
