Board of Trustees Vacancy 2018/2019

The Moreland’s Board of Trustees will be making a provisional appointment to replace Robert Varich who will be stepping down from the Moreland Board to assume his newly elected position on the Campbell Union High School District Board.  The term for this appointment will be from the January 29th, 2019 meeting through November 2020, at which time, a local election will be called for this seat. 

The role of the Board of Trustees is to stay focused on the big picture while fulfilling responsibilities in a series of job areas.  These responsibilities are:

  • Setting a direction for the district

  • Providing a structure by establishing policies

  • Providing support

  • Ensuring accountability

  • Provide community leadership on behalf of the district and public education.

Regular Board meetings are held one to two times a month on Tuesday evenings.  Some special meetings, events, and site visitations occur during the day or on other evenings throughout the year.

Office at 4711 Campbell Avenue, San Jose, 95130.  If the application is completed online, email the Superintendent at: by 4:30 P.M., December 14, 2018
