Moreland Cafeterias Get a Makeover

San Jose, January 23, 2018: Cafeterias in Moreland’s elementary schools are getting a makeover into a fun and friendly “Clubhouse” theme.  Designed to encourage students to frequent Moreland’s Food Service program for healthy breakfast and lunch options, “The Clubhouse” was designed for students by students by considering their input about what was important to them during their lunch experience in school.

Anderson and Baker Elementary Schools have the first cafeterias that have transformed into “The Clubhouse.”  Country Lane and Payne Elementary Schools will have their remodel by the end of January.

“We’re excited about the new decor and hope to see more students in the cafeteria trying our healthy food options, like our A to Z salad bar,” said Moreland’s Food Services Sodexo Consultant, Rick Kessler.  “Our menu will still follow the ThinkCA lunch program which focuses on locally grown and sourced ingredients, healthier options and made-from-scratch cooking.”
