Principal Message

Welcome to Country Lane School, one of five K – 5 schools in the Moreland School District. Our school, recognized as a California Distinguished School in 1989, 1997, and 2002, is known for its exemplary staff, responsible, capable students, and involved, supportive parent community.

Our school mission is to provide a learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students through collaboration of the school community. Country Lane teachers and support staff pride themselves on their collaborative work with colleagues as well as with our parent community. We value the whole child, and have programs in place to support students both academically and socially.

I am pleased to report that our 2009 Academic Performance Index (API) core increased 15 points this year to 918, and we are already in the process of analyzing our data to ensure that this growth continues. I am happy that you and your family are a part of our school community!
