  • Volunteer work shall be limited to those projects that do not replace the normal duties of classified staff.
  • Volunteers shall act in accordance with district policies, regulations, and school rules. The Superintendent or designee shall be responsible for investigating and resolving complaints regarding volunteers.
  • Volunteers who chaperone overnight events or work directly with students and are not under the direct supervision of a certificated staff member, however briefly, must arrange for a California Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint submission prior to volunteering.
  • Volunteers may make appointments at the District Office for this service.
  • Volunteers must have a driver’s license/California ID or Passport and complete the Livescan Request Form.  The fee is $34.00.

Volunteers who test negative shall thereafter be required to take a TB test every four years in accordance with Education Code 49406.
